Chantilly is an original, handmade, interactive fantasy sculpture by Magweno. Her palette is soft puce with gentle greys, accented with gleaming gold. She is very soft and 10” from tail to nose and has a wire armature so you can gently reposition her into any pose you like.

The use of fingers and mouths in my work is full of intent and meaning. The fingers and the mouth are very sensual organs in the human body and are therefore very powerful as separated items from it. The “seamless” combination of these organs in plates or cups, appearing as one, creates, in my opinion, new items that “feel” their environment and respond to it - Ronit (interview with Empty Kingdom)

These little monsters have been taking a lot of my attention lately… they still are… These ones here are a mix of unpainted high fired parts and some soft fired parts that I’m currently cleaning.. I’m up to 17 heads now but only have finished 6 dolls.
